Haleakala National Park

Hana Highway
The Hana Highway was designated in 1999 as a National Millenium Legacy Trail, and in June 2001 most of it was added to the National Register of Historic Places. But it has long been known as one of the nation's most scenic highways, and one of Maui's major tourist attractions. It is also a notoriously narrow, winding road, with hundreds of hairpin curves, dozens of one-lane historic bridges, and typical average speeds of only 15 mph
Iao Valley State Monument
Scenic viewpoint of 'Iao Needle, an erosional feature which abruptly rises 1200 feet from the valley floor. Park gate open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m
Makena State Park
Scenic wildland beach park characterized by prominent cinder cone and large white sand beach. Swimming during calm seas, bodysurfing, board surfing, shore fishing, and beach- related activities. No drinking water.
Maui Ocean Center
